A total gut renovation and complete remodel of the 16,000 square foot structure reused only the original foundations, precast concrete roof structure, and some of the original tilt-wall concrete wall panels. By removing and reconstructing a large section of the existing concrete tilt-wall panel building, a new glass reading corner, new pedestrian entrances, and updated street-facing facades and storefronts were introduced to update the library with a focus on function, comfort, safety, durability, and sustainability. New construction also added another 2,500 square feet of useable space.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jungman Neighborhood Library was recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council with LEED Silver
