Phased construction began with a 42,000 square foot renovation to the existing Shalom Austin community and fitness building that included structural reinforcement of existing roof structure to support new rooftop mounted air handling units and other mechanical equipment.

A second phase of construction included a two-story 40,000 SF addition to double the useable floor area and serve as the new main entry to the state-of-the art Dell Jewish Community Center. This phase of construction also included an aquatics center expansion with new Olympic lap pool, play pool and water slides, and concessions building and restrooms, and a new tennis facility with 6 outdoor tennis courts.
