BLOSSOM at 901 New York Avenue

Commissioned by Boston Properties and Designed by FYOOG to be the centerpiece of a Delineate Studio renovation and modernization of the entry to 901 New York Avenue in Washington D.C.

Made up one hundred sixty-seven individual aluminum hexagonal frames, mechanically fastened together with 1,200 custom machined stainless steel connectors and hung with gossamer-thin steel wire ropes to form a floating canopy inspired by Washington DC’s ubiquitous springtime cherry blossoms.
